Making vital support easier for families to find
We created an accessible charity website that brings services, events, news and donations into one clear experience for young people, families and supporters.
The brief
TOPCATS supports people from early years into young adulthood through a varied programme of clubs, activities and transition services. The website needed to help families understand which option might be right without requiring them to know the organisation’s internal language first.
It also needed to serve volunteers, donors and supporters, bringing together events, news, fundraising and practical contact routes in a way that remained warm, inclusive and manageable for the charity team.
What we did
We organised Tiny TOPCATS, Cats, Choices, Afternoon Club, GAP, Transitions and social activities into a clear service journey. Each route can introduce the appropriate age group, purpose and practical details without overloading the homepage.
Created an inclusive visual system
Bold colour, friendly typography, generous spacing and authentic photography communicate energy and belonging. Clear hierarchy and large actions keep the experience approachable across devices and for visitors with different access needs.
Connected participation and support
Services, events, news, donations and contact are treated as parts of one charity relationship rather than separate websites. Families can discover support, while donors and local supporters have visible routes to help sustain it.
Built on a charity-focused WordPress platform
The responsive build uses WordPress, GeneratePress, GenerateBlocks Pro and NFP Engine, with Gravity Forms and donation functionality integrated into the wider journey. Reusable structures give the team a practical way to keep services and updates current.
The result
The finished website gives TOPCATS a more coherent digital front door. Families can understand the breadth of support and find a suitable next step, while supporters can see the organisation’s impact and get involved.
It reflects the warmth and colour of the charity while giving a complex service offer the structure it needs to remain clear.
