The platform we run for charities
Most of this page is client work. NFP Engine is ours: managed websites for UK charities, with Google Ad Grant management included, for one monthly fee. This is the story of why it exists.
The brief
Nobody sent us this brief. We wrote it ourselves, after watching the same story play out for years.
A small charity needs a website. Agencies price for corporates, so the charity builds it themselves on a site builder, or a volunteer's nephew has a go, or they stretch for the agency and dread every invoice after. The site ages. Nobody on the team knows how to update it. Meanwhile Google will give most registered charities $10,000 a month in free advertising through the Ad Grant, and it sits unclaimed because nobody has time to run it.
So we set the brief ourselves: everything a small charity's website needs, looked after by someone who answers the phone, for a fee they can defend to trustees.
What we did
Every NFP Engine site runs on the same foundation, refined across years of client work: fast to load, simple for your team to edit and consistent enough that when we improve something for one charity, every charity gets it. It's WordPress underneath, so nothing is locked away. If you ever leave, your site goes with you.
Then we bundled in the Google Ad Grant. We handle the application, build the campaigns and manage them every month, because free advertising is only free if someone does the work.
One fee covers the lot: hosting, updates, fixes, support and the Grant. £300 a month, published on our site, no surprises.
The result
[X] charities run on NFP Engine today. [Second proof point: Ad Grant spend managed each month, support response time, or a retention line.]
The client builds alongside this one in the portfolio are NFP Engine sites. That's the evidence.
